Cortado, The Iranian cafe management solution and customer loyalty program raised $100K from a local Iranian Angel investor. This startups helps cafe owners manage their cafe inventory and supplies, and an analytic report on the cafe’s monthly progress. The beta-launched loyalty program aims to drive more customers to the cafes in contract with Cortado.

Cortado is also one of the startups in Avatech’s second cohort, and the first startup of the cohort to get funded after graduating from the acceleration program. From 7 months from its launch, Cortado managed to acquire 23 cafes in Tehran. The company has also entered Esfahan and is in talks to acquire 10 more cafes in this city in the next month. in the past 7 months Cortado also piloted its customer loyalty program on 3 cafes with 120 Cortado Card holders.

The capital will be used to grow its product and sales team, and to expand to different cities across Iran. “We are going to use the fund to expand our product and to sponsor relative events in our field. Our other main objective with this investment is to fully launch our customer loyalty program” Said Mehrdad Dalvand, the Founder and CEO.

The startup’s plan for the next 12 months is to launch a mobile version of their cafe management app and to add more features. “By the next 12 months we will have valuable data on customer behavior through analyzing our cafes, and will fully launch our customer loyalty program. The round we raised will support us for the next 12 months” said the CEO. Cortado plans to expand its services to provide software management solutions and customer loyalty programs to restaurants as well. The development to expand to restaurants will start in 6 months. Cortado’s main competitor in customer loyalty in restaurants will be the almost decade year old Fidilio which also has a similar loyalty card for restaurants. Cortado plans to raise another round of investment in 12 months to expand its services to restaurants all over Iran.
