LinkedIn has become a business-friendly social network all around the world. But how much do you know about this platform’s usage statistics in Iran?
In the recent years, LinkedIn has found its way amongst Iranians as an effective professional social network and a recruitment channel. This platform has also become a major source of information for foreign companies looking into the Iranian market. Last year Seyed Morteza Mousavian, Iran’s head of Digital Media Development Center, stated that “Most of the members on LinkedIn in the region are Iranians.” Despite the popularity of LinkedIn in Iran, this platform is still not able to make direct revenue off the majority of Iranians due to economic sanctions imposed on the country.
According to Alexa’s ranking, LinkedIn is the 32nd most popular website in Iran.
For the first time, TechRasa and NazarBazaar have conducted a questionnaire to find out about the state of Internet and social media usage in Iran. NazarBazaar which is an Iranian market research platform helps businesses define surveys and sets incentives for consumers to answer them. 3,707 Iranians from the age of 18 to 65 have answered our questionnaire; of which 2,829 were men and 878 were women.
