Banque du Liban is hosting BDL Accelerate 2015, Lebanon’s annual international startup conference on Thursday and Friday, Dec 10 and 11, 2015 at Forum de Beirut. The theme for this year’s conference is “Emerging Startup Ecosystems”.
Tickets to Banque du Liban Accelerate 2015 have already been sold out. More than 5000 entrepreneurs, investors and stakeholders are expected to attend the event. The two day conference will feature 3 parallel tracks on 2 stages. The conference includes 100 local and international exhibitors, 100 VCs, angels, and investors and 100 startups from emerging startup ecosystems including Iran.
BDL, the largest startup conference in the Arab world will host 2 startup competitions. One is an idea stage competition and the other is a competition between early stage startups. The conference will also include 2 hackathons focusing on wearable technology and web & mobile. The aim of the hackathons is to gathers programmers, designers, and business developers to form a team and to find a solution to a specific issue that is presented to them.
Banque du Liban, the organizer of the event has been supporting Lebanon’s startup ecosystem since they issued an investment policy in 2013.
